Pirates Bowls Club in the jacaranda filled streets of Joburg hosted The Keeper Memorial Bowls Day which is held in memory of Andy Jack, Bob Mallac and Leigh Hammond.
Insurers from around the country were invited to enter teams, donate prizes and make other contributions on the day. It’s a day of industrywide camaraderie and the insurance industry really showed up for a great cause.
All involved contributed handsomely and this year the day was supported by Bryte, Hollard, Santam, Lombard Human Risks, Leppard Underwriting, iToo, Horizon Marine, Sapphire Risk Transfer, Guardrisk, Camargue Underwriting Managers, One and Gage Car Hire. Over R 80 000.00 was raised and will be donated to charity, in particular cancer related causes – mostly through Hospice. The donation will be managed through the Jacana Development Foundation, a charitable platform formed by the Jacana Group and supported by its businesses nationally.
This year Bryte were the bowls winners but all of the participants and beneficiaries of the charitable donation will ultimately be the true winners.
